Octane Design, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager – Restaurant & Retail Construction – Commercial Construction to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
Under the direction of the owner, responsible for the overall management of construction project(s). Ultimately responsible for the financial performance of the project, accountable for the profit/loss realized on the project.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and three year directly related experience; or minimum five years’ experience in Restaurant/ Commercial construction project management.
Required Experience:
The new team member is required to have 5 – 10 years of experience in Retail and/ or Restaurant construction management. Experience as the lead project manager of a construction project is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the interrelating activities of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and customers. Coordinates design and engineering efforts; monitors and reports on financial status of the project(s) and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration.
- Responsible for estimating efforts relative to the project(s). Responsible for entire proposal preparation effort. Develops job progress schedule to ensure that actual construction parallels with the schedule. Monitors the delivery of all needed materials for the project(s).
- Negotiates contracts with subcontractors and vendors for various trades, ensuring that all phases of the work are encompassed and that a clear definition of work responsibility is defined.
- Reviews and approves subcontractor change orders related to scope to ensure financial coverage within project. Issues changes in the work to receive prices from subcontractors in a timely fashion.
- Works with clients and architects to ensure project(s) is/are designed, procured and constructed within the boundaries of operating guidelines, while conforming to technical requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Visits job site(s) as needed to review progress and quality of work.
- Prepares various reports to successfully manage the project(s), progress analysis/schedules, weekly client cost summary’s and weekly progress photo package to clients.
- Organizes and maintains job files to ensure continuity of work flow.
- Submits verbal and written reports on project status to management.
- Promote and implement Safety Program & QMS. Issues appropriate change orders to subcontractors and customers.
- Reviews shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work.

Seeking Traveling Inventory Manager for Warehouse Fulfillment Centers Projects throughout the country that scale between 200,000 sqft to 1,000,000 sqft.
- Oversee the receiving, logging/tracking and deployment of all owner furnished items
- Control the flow of supplies and equipment,
- Analyze inventory process to come up / develop protocols for more efficient tracking and loss mitigation.
- Support the client with daily/weekly reports of their items checked in and confirmed
- Quickly advising on any missing inventory to help expedite complete inventory.
- Support Deployment Team by keeping up to date records and releasing modules ready for installation.

This position is considered an Independent Contractor position. The applicant will report his earnings on a 1099-MISC form.
- Travel costs between sites will be reimbursed
- Per Diem is included in weekly pay
- Remote Housing is included in weekly pay and is to be organized by applicant

The Traveling Deployment Manager to oversee the receiving, logging/tracking and deployment of all owner furnished items and control the flow of supplies and equipment, as well as analyze inventory process to come up / develop protocols for more efficient tracking and loss mitigation. Support the client with daily/weekly reports of their items checked in and confirmed, along with quickly advising on any missing inventory to help expedite complete inventory. Support Deployment Team by keeping up to date records and releasing modules ready for installation. THIS JOB IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION. Candidates must be willing to travel cross country to various warehouse/distribution centers. STRONG CONSTRUCTION knowledge is highly desired.
